Quali Tag Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QualiTag and Cleverly LLC ("QualiTag," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process information in connection with the Quali Tag mobile application, related services, and hometagapp.com (collectively, the "Services").
Official online privacy URL: https://hometagapp.com/privacy
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the app, the website, user-initiated exports, and support, sales, waitlist, or early-access communications.
This Privacy Policy does not control third-party websites, apps, APIs, email services, cloud drives, or other services that are not operated by QualiTag, even if they receive data through a feature you choose to use.
2. Categories of Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and profile information, such as your name, contact details, company name, selected trade, and credentials you choose to save on your device.
- Lead, property, and route data, such as tagged addresses, parcel IDs, coordinates, notes, timestamps, route metadata, and export history.
- Device, permission, and usage data, such as location data while the app is in use, microphone input and speech-recognition data when voice tagging is enabled, and biometric-availability information related to Face ID.
- Export and communication data, including files you export, recipient email addresses used in app-initiated mail composition, and website contact submissions.
- Information returned from Apple, public-data, mapping, parcel, or building-footprint services used to support app features.
3. Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device and sensors while you use the Services, from your use of the app and website, and from third-party or public data services when the app attempts to resolve addresses, parcel references, speech input, or nearby building footprints.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to provide, operate, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Services; authenticate users; create and manage lead records; enable exports and communications; enforce our terms and policies; comply with law; and develop, analyze, and use aggregated or de-identified reports, benchmarks, and business insights that do not identify you, your business, or individual homeowners.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to platform and technical providers, public-data or mapping sources, user-selected export destinations, legal authorities where required, and parties involved in a business transaction.
We may retain, use, disclose, and license aggregated or de-identified information derived from use of the Services for analytics, benchmarking, product development, service improvement, security, and related lawful business purposes, provided that such information does not identify you, your business, or individual homeowners.
6. Tracking, Advertising, and Sale/Sharing Context
As of the Effective Date, the app does not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-context behavioral advertising, and the current core lead-storage workflow primarily operates locally on-device rather than through a required QualiTag cloud backend.
As of the Effective Date, we do not sell personal information. If our practices change in a way that triggers additional legal notice or opt-out obligations, we will provide those rights as required.
7. Data Storage and Retention
As of the Effective Date, lead data is primarily stored locally on-device. The app also maintains local backup and archive files in application-support storage, and may create temporary export files on-device during export workflows.
Active lead records may be retained on-device for up to 90 days from the tagged date. Backup, archive, and exported copies may persist longer unless deleted by the user, overwritten, removed by the app, or subject to a different retention requirement.
8. Your Choices and Controls
You may disable permissions in iOS Settings, stop using voice tagging, delete leads in the app, uninstall the app, refrain from exporting or sharing files, or contact us to request additional privacy information where applicable law gives you that right.
9. California Notice at Collection and Privacy Rights
This section applies to California residents. During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories of personal information described above, including identifiers and contact details, customer records information, lead and commercial information, electronic activity information, geolocation data, audio data, professional information, inferences, and sensitive personal information such as precise geolocation and stored account credentials.
We may collect, use, retain, and disclose those categories for the business and commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and may disclose them for business purposes to the provider, public-data, export-recipient, legal, and transaction-recipient categories described above.
As of the Effective Date, the app does not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, service improvement, reporting, and related lawful business purposes. If our practices change in a way that triggers additional notice or opt-out obligations under California law, we will provide the required notices and rights.
California residents may have the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of certain sale or sharing activity, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, receive equal service for exercising privacy rights, and use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
To submit a California privacy request, contact feedback@hometagapp.com with the subject line California Privacy Request or Privacy Request. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
If QualiTag engages in activities that make us a California "data broker," we will comply with applicable registration, deletion, suppression, and related requirements, including obligations imposed by the California Delete Act or successor laws.
10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under other U.S. state privacy laws, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain disclosures of personal information.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not intend to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions may be posted in the app, on the website, or both. Continued use after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated version.
